VLO HOURS OF OPERATION:

24 hours a day, 7 days a week via VLO Portal

While the attorney may not necessary review or respond to a message at the moment it's after hours, thanks to the

VLO Portal you can still send it as well as

check on the status of your file or account at any time

Firm commits to respond within 12-24 business hrs!

OPTIONS IN THE VLO PORTAL:

After properly activating a VLO portal account (see below), you can engage in the following:

Ask a legal question, even if not yet a client!
Request a quote for legal services and receive the same in an official written format
Request an initial consult (potential new client) or a new meeting (as a current client)
Start or respond to a Discussion Thread on a particular topic or issue (similar to those you see on message boards, blogs, and even social networking site) which is a great way to keep a specific conversation saved in one spot and easily accessible for later
View/revise/share documents including but not limited to:

forms, agreements, or other legal documents the attorney needs you to review, approve and/or sign
copies of court filings for your records
documents or evidence you need to provide for case

Receive critical file/court notifications and other reminders for upcoming events or deadlines
Review and pay invoices
Update your contact information

VIRTUAL CONSULT OPTIONS and FEES

Video conference/web chat
Instant Messaging when video may not be possible or desired
By phone
Through the VLO Portal in a designated Discussion Thread

COST: Only $140 (flat fee, not per hour!) which gives you a full 1.5 hours

with the attorney (in-person office consults are a flat fee of $175). Fee for VLO

consult must be paid in advance either drop off at the office, mailed check, or

the popular and convenient online pay (credit or debit) through the secure

portal where Firm doesn't even see your account information

HOW TO JOIN THE PORTAL

After initially connecting with the Firm (whether by phone, email, website contact firm, etc.) and there is an interest to discuss your matter further, then in addition to other steps that may take place you will also receive an email with an activation link inside that looks like this:

After reviewing the VLO Portal Terms and Conditions [HERE] and you understand and agree, then you are ready to "activate" your account.
Simply click on the first hyperlink in the email (in the shaded area), which doing so also confirms you have read and agree to the aforementioned terms.
You will then be taken to a secure webpage as shown below. As you can see, the ONLY thing you need to do is create your own password - that's it! You won't even have to enter your name, email, phone number, etc. as we will have already done that for you

After clicking the 'Activate My Account' button, you will be redirected to the dashboard of your new account and there will also be a detailed Welcome Message from the firm pertinent to your situation or case

NAVIGATING THE PORTAL

Once you activate your MyCase account and you are in the portal, you will always be first taken to the 'Dashboard' on the HOME tab.
There are several self-explanatory tabs across the top of the page which signify the options and features that come with your account. To the right of the page are a few short cut widgets for very common tasks (e.g. uploading a document, sending a message, paying an invoice).
